<p>First let me tell you that I was extremely reluctant to write this, but my family and friends have persistently nagged me since they can&#8217;t believe the transformation in me over the last couple of years.<br />
For my part, whilst extremely happy with my life now (I feel great!), I am a little embarrassed about what my life had become before I decided to change it.<br />

So here goes&#8230;(deep breath),</p>
<p>Around 3 years ago, I was living in the outskirts of London with my husband of thirty years ( I got married at 18) in a small council house, and our 3 lovely  children had grown up and gone out into the world outside. I had a reasonable job as a Secretary in the City which meant an average 12 hour day with commuting, as well as looking after the house, washing, ironing, shopping etc&#8230; I was tired all the time! </p>
<p>I must point out that at this time I weighed around 18 stone (UK size 24), sometimes having to walk with a stick because of the arthritis pain my weight was causing in my back and my knees. Over the years I had tried all sorts of &#8222;weight-loss programs&#8221; and &#8222;fads&#8221; and nothing seemed to work for me. I would often cry myself to sleep, and didn&#8217;t have a full length mirror in the house for years! I´m sure you get the picture&#8230;  </p>
<p>Anyway, I was sitting at my desk one afternoon when I received a text message from my husband&#8230;<br />
&#8222;I DON&#8217;T LOVE YOU ANYMORE&#8221;.</p>
<p>I was devastated. I just sat there and burst into tears at my desk. One of my colleagues took me across to a cafe and tried to console me while I just wept for most of the afternoon.<br />
My Boss gave me time off to sort things out and was very supportive, as were my friends and colleagues.<br />
It turned out that my husband had been seeing a woman from the local gym for a while (ironic considering he is both fat and bald) but didn´t want to leave me!</p>
<p>To cut a long story short, things didn&#8217;t improve and got to a stage that even my youngest daughter suggested I leave him, so I did, and it&#8217;s the most frightening thing I&#8217;ve done in my life!<br />
I had no confidence, no self esteem, so conscious of the way I looked I always felt people were staring at me, or alternatively treated me as if I wasn´t there.<br />
Fortunately, my children and friends rallied to my support, I rented a flat (apartment) a few miles away and decided things had to change!</p>
<p>One of my friends suggested I try a new &#8222;healthy&#8221; slimming program that she had started using, and apparently was getting some results with. I almost said &#8222;no&#8221;, &#8222;I&#8217;ve tried them all before&#8221; etc, etc (and I love food), but for the sake of friendship and the company I suppose, I agreed to try it with her.</p>
<p>I won&#8217;t say I was immediately amazed, I wasn&#8217;t&#8230; but I did start losing some weight, which gave me hope that I could find the (reasonably) slim person that was always inside the rest of me. So, with my newly found hope and determination, I found a different type of slimming program (I can eat as much as I like) and combined the two of them.</p>
<p>After 2 months (I recorded my progress weekly) I had lost 46lbs!</p>
<p>Not only that, I didn&#8217;t need my stick anymore, the aches and pains were only occasional, and I could even manage some exercise (mainly fast walking at that time).</p>
<p>Guess what.. 3 months after that I weighed myself at 10stones 11lbs (which is roughly as I am now) and, would you believe&#8230; UK dress size 10, and I am told I look 10 years younger! </p>
<p>That was about 2 years ago now, around the time I met my fiance (younger than me, fit, and with hair!), who I now live with in our lovely villa in Spain.<br />
I regularly go dancing and even run around on the beach, things I could only dream of 3 years ago, I feel great!</p>
<p>I strongly encourage you, if you are now, or ever find yourself approaching the despair I found myself in&#8230; Do Something About It! You will never look back, I promise you.</p>
<p>I have provided links to programs that helped me if you wish to look at them and hope my true story can give hope and strength to anyone that needs it. Enjoy your life!</p>

<p>Walentynki to wyjątkowe święto, które obchodzi większość z nas. Warto w tym dniu przygotować dla ukochanej osoby coś extra, coś specjalnego. Standardowe wyjście do kina czy do restauracji w tym dniu lub tego wieczoru ma także swój urok ale lepiej będzie na przykład samemu zaaranżować romantyczny wieczór i przyszykować dla ukochanej osoby walentynkową kolację. Oto kilka porad, które mogą się przydać przy ustalaniu walentynkowego menu:<BR><br />
- Jeżeli dobrze znasz upodobania kulinarne swojego partnera możesz podać to, co sprawdzone ale za to powinnaś zwrócić uwagę na sposób w jaki potrawy będą podane. Warto zadbać o szczególną zastawę. Zamiast zwykłej porcelany możesz użyć bambusowych miseczek lub też zastawy z kolorowego szkła.<BR><br />
- Możesz zaskoczyć swojego partnera i przygotować jakąś kulinarną niespodziankę. Pamiętaj jednak, aby potrawę przygotować wcześniej na próbę…chyba nie chcesz, aby kulinarna niespodzianka zamieniła się w kuchenna katastrofę…Bądź także ostrożna w doborze ekstrawaganckich potraw…to, co wydaje się tobie smaczne może okazać się niezjadliwe dla twojego partnera…np. ślimaki<BR><br />

- Najlepsze są dania lekko strawne, które można przygotować wcześniej a przed podaniem tylko podgrzać. Dzięki temu romantyczny wieczór spędzisz ze swoim partnerem a nie w kuchni.<BR><br />
- Aby dodać spotkaniu pikanterii możesz użyć przypraw lub składników uważanych od wieków za afrodyzjaki. Produktami podnoszącymi temperament seksualny są: owoce morza, cielęcina, drób. Przyprawami uznawanymi za afrodyzjaki są m.in. pieprz, chili, imbir, cynamon i goździki. Afrodyzjaki ziołowe to bazylia, kolendra oraz lubczyk. Seksualne owoce to: gruszka, granaty, brzoskwinie, morele i jabłka, natomiast warzywa, które mogą dodać temperamentu erotycznego to seler, pietruszka i bakłażan. - Szczególna uwagę zwróć na walentynkowe napoje. Zrezygnuj z wysokoprocentowych, mocnych alkoholi i piwa. Podaj wino lub szampana. Obok napoi alkoholowych warto mieć w zanadrzu coś bezalkoholowego jak sok, kawa lub herbata. Ta ostatnia może dodać nawet walentynkowego charakteru. <p>If you keep on living, old age will certainly catch up with you sooner or later. But does that mean your skin must catch up as well? If you spend your time trying to get that fresh dewy look, here are some makeup tips to push back the hands of time and make you have younger, looking skin.</p>
<p>1. WEARING HEAVY MAKEUP<br />

Wearing heavy makeup to give the appearance of a youthful face will make you look older, and draw attention to the lines you’re trying to cover up.  To keep your skin looking youthful, skip the heavy makeup and choose a sheer foundation (such as Joy Lorraine Jojoba Foundation). Any excess foundation can be removed with a damp sponge. Keeping your skin well hydrated, and using a sheer foundation will give your skin a fresh dewy look.</p>
<p>2. WEARING A LIGHTER FOUNDATION SHADE</p>
<p>Wearing a foundation that is lighter than your natural skin tone, will add years and not youthfulness to your look. Instead, what you have done is make those lines and wrinkles much more noticeable. Opt for a foundation that is a shade darker than your normal skin tone for a healthy glow. This will make your skin look much younger.</p>
<p>3. HEAVY CONCEALER</p>
<p>Too much concealer under the eyes can make you look older, and draw attention to the dark circles you’re trying to cover up. As you age, the skin under the eye area gets thinner. Less is more, so your concealer should be as light as possible. Try applying your concealer with a brush for a more even distribution.</p>
<p>4. HEAVY FACE POWDER</p>
<p>If you have oily skin, use a blotting powder where oiliness is a problem such as your nose, forehead and chin to control shine. A light dusting of your face powder is enough to set your makeup and keep it looking fresh all day. However, using too much can make your skin look dry, and exaggerate facial lines and wrinkles. Stay clear of applying powder around your eye area unless of course, you want to advertise those lines on your face.</p>
<p>5. APPLYING BLUSH</p>
<p>When using blush, apply on the highest point on your cheekbones. Using a large brush, lift upward and blend on entire cheekbone area.  A neutral color will flatter and brighten up all skin tones. (Try Joy Lorraine powder blush in Pink Brown.)</p>
<p>6. LIPSTICK THAT BLEEDS</p>
<p>As you mature, your lips become thinner and somewhat dry because it looses water and oil. Wearing lipstick can cause it to bleed into your natural lip line making it very unattractive. To alleviate this problem, try putting a barrier around your lipstick by using a lip liner to outline the shape of your lips. This will help to keep your lipstick right where you put it – on your lips.  (Joy Lorraine Lip Liners does the trick.).</p>
<p>7. EVERY DAY LIPSTICK</p>
<p>If you have thin lips, the color of your lipstick will make all the difference in how you look. Women with fair and medium skin tone will look great in pinks and coral lip colors. Deeper skin tones will look great in deep pinks such as plums and berries. Stay clear of metallic or iridescent colors as these may prove too heavy for thin lips. Use a lip liner one shade darker than your natural lip line to outline the shape of your mouth. Apply your lipstick and add a sheer gloss to add fullness to your lips.</p>
<p>8. MASCARA ON BOTTOM LASHES</p>
<p>Mascara is an essential that you should never leave home without, but if you have crow&#8217;s-feet and dark circles, sweep a light coating of black mascara on your top lashes from the base to the tip to separate and make them look thick, and long.  Avoid mascaras that are thick and clumpy to remove years from your eyes. Use less mascara on your bottom lash, or better yet, skip mascara altogether on your bottom lashes. (Try Joy Lorraine Super Lash Mascara in black.)</p>
<p>9. EYELINER ON THE LOWER LASHES</p>
<p>Unless you want to draw attention to fine lines and dark circles, stick to the upper lids instead. Draw a thicker line as you move toward the outer corners of the eye, to draw attention away from a droopy look. (Try Joy Lorraine Powder Liner Pencil)</p>
<p>10. SPARKLY SHADOW ON THE OUTER CORNERS</p>
<p>A little shimmer and shine can make your eyes look younger. However, refrain from applying to the outer corners because it magnifies the fine line around the eye area. Restrict wearing shimmer shadows to the inner corners, the centers of the lids, and just on the brow bone area.<br />
